About this event

Families make cardboard collage masks for Halloween in MoMA’s classroom studio. Teaching artists introduce the project and materials, then children and adults explore them independently together. The activity is a drop-in program rather than a lesson running for the entire advertised window.

A typical project takes twenty to thirty minutes. Two October Saturdays are published, with a shorter opening window on Halloween itself. Museum admission applies; children sixteen and under enter free.

Organizer: The Museum of Modern Art

Registration & participation: Drop-in art making; check museum-entry conditions.

Accessibility: Backless stools and assistive listening equipment available on request.

Duration: Project generally takes 20–30 minutes.
