Explore urban ecology with LA Parks ecologists at Augustus F. Hawkins Nature Park. This LA Nature Quest activity combines a guided walk with practical nature journaling using observation, drawing and writing. Participants can learn how to submit a journal page to the library’s contest.
The activity meets at the park, not Central Library. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. for the 9 a.m. program. Registration is required. Set up iNaturalist beforehand and bring walking shoes, water, insect repellent and your phone. Some art materials are provided; personal supplies are welcome.
