About this event
Sarah Benson directs a three-part performance based on texts by Saidiya Hartman and drawing on W.E.B. Du Bois’s story The Comet. The work considers Black life after catastrophe through theater, movement, film and visual art. Announced performers include André Holland, Okwui Okpokwasili, Bria Bacon, Audrey Hailes and AJ Wilmore, with a film by Arthur Jafa. Three performances are scheduled at BAM’s Harvey Theater.
