About this event

New York City Ballet presents George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker at the David H. Koch Theater. Tchaikovsky’s music accompanies a story that moves from a Christmas party to a dreamlike world of dances and characters. The company’s production combines choreography, stage designs and costumes associated with its long-running holiday presentation.

The company’s 2026–27 season announcement confirms the holiday engagement from November 27 through January 3. Visitors must select an individual performance: the overall range does not mean a show takes place at the same time every day. Check the company calendar for availability and accessible seating.

Organizer: New York City Ballet

Accessibility: NYCB describes a ramp from Columbus Avenue and West 63rd Street, lobby elevator access and designated wheelchair seating. Contact Customer Care at 212-496-0600 for seat selection; some seats require stairs.

Duration: The repertory page lists Act I at 49 minutes and Act II at 41 minutes; allow additional time for the interval.
